Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends North Atlanta's Winning Streak

After a string of five wins, North Atlanta's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Druid Hills Red Devils by a score of 2-1. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Devils earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

North Atlanta started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-12, 16-14.

Samantha Bailey paced North Atlanta's offense, picking up seven kills. Bailey got some help from Genevieve Pawlowski and her 11 assists. Eleni Karagiannis controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

North Atlanta's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Druid Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

North Atlanta will welcome Paideia at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, Druid Hills and Fellowship Christian will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on September 4.
