Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Serena Montoya and Dora Montiero-Victor Lead Winston Salem Christian to Victory + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wesleyan Christian Academy, Winston Salem Christian was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Quality Education Academy Fighting Pharaohs as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Fighting Pharaohs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Winston Salem Christian took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-10, 25-8.

Leading Winston Salem Christian to victory were Dora Montiero-Victor and Serena Montoya. Montiero-Victor had 14 aces, seven kills, and seven digs, while Montoya had 11 aces and three digs. The dominant performance also gave Montoya a new career-high in assists (13).

Winston Salem Christian's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Quality Education Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coincidentally, Winston Salem Christian and Quality Education Academy will both be playing Carter G. Woodson the next time they take the court. The Lions will host the Eagle at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Fighting Pharaohs will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
