Football Recap: Palmdale Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Palmdale can now relate to. They were outmatched by the South Pasadena Tigers and fell 41-7. The Falcons were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than 31 points in the five contests prior), but the Tigers' defense proved too tough.

Joshua Suarez threw for 73 yards and one touchdown. Jordan Medina was his top target, picking up 35 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Elleyon Clark rushed for 36 yards.

Trey Freking continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for South Pasadena, rushing for 260 yards and four scores while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. Freking is becoming a predictor of the Tigers' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 7-2 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Palmdale's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. As for South Pasadena, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Palmdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Pasadena, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 28-21 defeat against Valley View on the 21st.
