Volleyball Recap: Watertown Falls Short Against Ranked Brandon Valley

Watertown faced Brandon Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Arrows took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lynx. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lynx this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 25-13, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Watertown still got an impressive performance from Andi Olson, who had 16 digs and three aces. Olson has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Watertown's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Brandon Valley, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Watertown didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against O'Gorman on the 16th. As for Brandon Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Brookings on the 16th.
