Flag Football Recap: Heritage Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Maddy Walcott and Adalie Seibel

Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 19-7 to the Rock Canyon Jaguars. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Heritage's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Adalie Seibel, who picked up 98 receiving yards and one TD, and Maddy Walcott, who threw for 173 yards and one touchdown.

Heritage didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Gianna Dye and Evie Smelker.

Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Rock Canyon, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Heritage will challenge Mountain Vista at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Golden Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven matchups. As for Rock Canyon, they will square off against Douglas County at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Huskies' defense has only allowed 11.2 points per game this season, so the Jaguars' offense will have their work cut out for them.
