Recap: Union Christian Day Eagles vs. Mountain View Christian Academy Mustangs
It was a good run, but the Union Christian Day Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mountain View Christian Academy. If Union Christian Day hoped to take revenge for the 74-60 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Union Christian Day's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Gregory, who scored 19 points. Gregory continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jaeden Brown was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Union Christian Day's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-9.
Union Christian Day won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lighthouse Christian Academy at 10:00 a.m. on January 13th. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Tabernacle Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tabernacle Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
