Hope Christian got themselves on the board against Santa Rosa on Thursday, but Santa Rosa never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Lions. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Iliana Cordova made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Cordova was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
