Recap: Northeast Vikings vs. Crest Lancers
The Northeast Vikings lost to the Crest Lancers back in February of 2023, but the Northeast Vikings didn't allow the Crest Lancers the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Northeast walked away with a 43-35 win over Crest.
Crest's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Rogan Weir, who scored 13 points along with two steals, and Ryan Golden who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 37.1% of Crest's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drake Weir, who scored two points along with two steals.
Northeast's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Crest, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeast will take on Yates Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Yates Center is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Crest, they will head out on the road to challenge Oswego at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Oswego is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
