Basketball Recap: Fox Tech Comes Up Short

Fox Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 59-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highlands Owls. While losing is never fun, the Buffaloes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 923rd, while the Owls are ranked 292nd).

Fox Tech's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Highlands, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Fox Tech will square off against rival Burbank at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Highlands is set to take on their familiar foe Lanier at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
