Softball Recap: Canal Winchester Drops Season-High Score on Pickerington Central

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canal Winchester). They put the hurt on the Pickerington Central Tigers with a sharp 21-10 victory on Monday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by ten runs or more this season.

Canal Winchester got a massive performance out of HannaH Pearson, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Gabby Wuelleh also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

The win (which was Canal Winchester's fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Pickerington Central, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canal Winchester will take on Hilliard Davidson at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pickerington Central, they will challenge Groveport-Madison at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
