Baseball Game Preview: The Colony Cougars vs. Lovejoy Leopards

For the second straight game, The Colony will face off against Lovejoy. The Cougars will head out to face off against the Leopards at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (The Colony 3.9, Lovejoy 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

The Colony heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Thursday. They fell 3-0 to Lovejoy. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Leopards recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The Colony got a good showing from Cole Richeson, who tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Richeson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

Lovejoy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 21 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for The Colony, their loss dropped their record down to 19-11.
