Baseball Recap: Wagoner Bulldogs vs. Tahlequah Tigers
Wagoner made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Tahlequah, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wagoner Bulldogs blew past the Tahlequah Tigers 10-2 on Thursday. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered an 8-0 loss the last time these two teams met.
Mikey Areola made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Areola was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other pitching news, Kolby Gardenhire looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Karson Klinger was incredible, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Eli Hopping was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
