Baseball Recap: Kettle Falls Triumphs

Kettle Falls won the last time they faced Davenport and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Gorillas by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Cody Adams was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Kettle Falls is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-10 otherwise. Adams was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Cooper Mckern was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Kettle Falls' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 2-10 when he doesn't).

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-11. As for Davenport, they dropped their record down to 0-12 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Kettle Falls beat the Gorillas by a score of 4-1 on Saturday.
