Schulenburg proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Ganado Indians 5-3. The victory continues a trend for the Shorthorns in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won seven in a row.

Schulenburg's win bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Ganado, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Schulenburg is set to face off against their familiar foe Shiner at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Shorthorns 2.8, the Comanches 0.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Ganado will square off against rival Weimar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
