Tazden Jevons ran for four touchdowns to lift
Dibble (Okla.) to a 44-14 defeat over Empire (Duncan, Okla.). The scores gave the junior nine touchdowns for the year.
The Demons were up 24-14 at the half after taking the lead on a defensive touchdown in the first quarter.
Dibble expanded its lead to 16 points entering the fourth quarter. DHS scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by Jevons.
A 14-point fourth quarter was enough to cement the win for the Demons, as they pushed the final margin of victory to 30.
The Bulldogs' Tanner Shorter was the standout player for his team. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns.
The defeat comes as a step back for Empire, which notched a 47-0 victory over Maysville in its previous outing. The loss snapped Empire's 2-game winning streak.
In a 2A District 2 game next week Dibble (2-1) takes on Luther, and Empire (2-1) will go up against Rush Springs in a A District 4 game.
