Baseball Game Preview: Pacifica Mariners vs. Canyon Comanches

For the second straight game, Pacifica will face off against Canyon. The Mariners will welcome the Comanches at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Pacifica is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

On Wednesday, Pacifica narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Canyon 3-2.

For Canyon's part, they got a good showing from Nathan Fuzzard, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Fuzzard has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Canyon saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camden Goetz, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Canyon now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Pacifica, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
