Football Recap: Wilcox Academy Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

Wilcox Academy proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 35) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the South Choctaw Academy Rebels 15-12. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 22-14 victory the Rebels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Wilcox Academy pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.5 points on average over those games. As for South Choctaw Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Wilcox Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Clarke Prep at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for South Choctaw Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Richton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
