The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither De La Salle Collegiate nor St. John's Jesuit made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Pilots sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Titans. The victory was nothing new for the Pilots as they're now sitting on three straight.

Dylan Luepke spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on one hit.

On the hitting side, JJ Jurczyk was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Vito Zito was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

De La Salle Collegiate's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for St. John's Jesuit, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: De La Salle Collegiate beat St. John's Jesuit by a score of 4-1 later that day.
