Volleyball Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short

Chaparral suffered their biggest loss since March 13th on Tuesday. They came up short against the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Golden Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-11, 25-20.

Luke Vigil paced Chaparral's offense, picking up 11 kills. Vigil got some help from Lincoln Nelson and his 17 assists.

Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Mountain Vista, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Coming up, Chaparral will face off against Legend at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mountain Vista, they will square off against James Irwin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles are facing the Jaguars at the right time seeing as the Jaguars are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
