Baseball Recap: Menasha Find Success

After losing to Xavier the last time they met, Menasha decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bluejays skirted past the Hawks 5-4. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bluejays as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Paul Schmolinske, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Jacob Coopman also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Menasha's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Xavier, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Menasha will host Winneconne at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Xavier, they will welcome New London at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
