Basketball Game Preview: Harvey Hornets vs. Drake/Anamoose Raiders

The Harvey Hornets are taking a road trip to square off against the Drake/Anamoose Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Harvey and five for Drake/Anamoose.

Harvey is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Westhope/Newburg on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Harvey came up short against Westhope/Newburg, falling 87-64. The Hornets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-28.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 85-38, which was the final score in Drake/Anamoose's tilt against Westhope/Newburg on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Sioux are ranked ninth).

Drake/Anamoose's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Harvey, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Harvey beat Drake/Anamoose 62-53 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harvey since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
