Softball Recap: Mynderse Academy Starts Season with Victory Against South Seneca

Mynderse Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the South Seneca Falcons 25-7.

Mercedes Santana was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Allyson Fenton, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Looking ahead, Mynderse Academy will challenge Bloomfield at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Seneca, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Naples at 5:00 p.m. on May 9.
