Soccer Recap: Make It 20 in a Row for Friendswood

It's playoff time, and Friendswood had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the Crosby Cougars a 5-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering Friendswood have won 18 matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Crosby with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Gisele Kehres (3), Ashley Baxter, and Lexi Box.

The win (which was Friendswood's 20th in a row) raised their record to 21-2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up four goals over those 20 games. As for Crosby, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 21-4-3 record.

Looking ahead, Friendswood will take on Georgetown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Georgetown will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Friendswood surely won't give up without a fight. Crosby does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
