Volleyball Recap: Bosque Wins Going Away Against Cuba

Bosque had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Cuba on Thursday. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 on Monday.

One reason for the win was Bosque's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-23, 25-22.

Allie Erickson had an outrageously good game as she had 30 digs. Those 30 digs gave her a new career-high.

Bosque was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 25 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Bosque's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Cuba, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.

Looking ahead, Bosque will take on East Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cuba, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Cottonwood Classical Prep on the 3rd.
