Eastside College Prep's loss ends nine-game winning streak at home

Recap: Eastside College Prep Panthers vs. More Knights

The Eastside College Prep Panthers were the 56-50 winner over the More Knights when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Eastside College Prep took a 58-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of More on Monday. Eastside College Prep has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

It was another big night for Tim Selway, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 22 rebounds for More. Selway has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. Vince Cortese was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals.

Eastside College Prep's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4. As for More, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastside College Prep won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Harker at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Harker is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. More on the road again on Wednesday and play against DCP Alum Rock at 4:15 p.m. on January 24th. DCP Alum Rock will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
