The Bluffton Pirates will head out to take on the Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Bluffton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Bluffton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Ottawa Hills on Friday. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Green Bears. The Pirates not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 30th (when they won 18-4).

The team relied heavily on MACY SCHAADT, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was ELANA NAVARRO, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Bluffton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Lima Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Columbus Grove, falling 15-5.

Lima Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Bluffton, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
