Soccer Game Preview: Holbrook vs. Winslow

The Holbrook Roadrunners will challenge the Winslow Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Holbrook's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Holbrook's offense. They came up short against Blue Ridge on Friday, falling 9-0. That's two games in a row now that Holbrook have lost by exactly nine goals.

Meanwhile, Winslow also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 12-0 to St. Johns on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for Winslow in their meetings with St. Johns: they've now lost four in a row.

Holbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Winslow, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Everything went Holbrook's way against Winslow in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Holbrook made off with an 8-0 win. Will the Roadrunners repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
