Basketball Recap: Turkey Valley Comes Up Short

After a string of four wins, Turkey Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to the Crestwood Cadets. The Trojans lost against the Cadets in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 68-43 score last time.

Turkey Valley's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5. As for Crestwood, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

Turkey Valley will take on Clayton-Ridge at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Clayton-Ridge: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Turkey Valley has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road. As for Crestwood, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-53 win against Newman Catholic on the 28th.
