Basketball Recap: St. Margaret's Piles Up the Points Against Christchurch School

After losing to Christchurch School the last time they met, St. Margaret decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The St. Margaret's Scotties blew past the Christchurch School Seahorses 57-22 on Friday. The Scotties have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 27 points or more this season.

St. Margaret's can attribute much of their success to Jade Wright, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonina Lubinska, who had seven points.

When it comes to explaining why Christchurch School lost, don't look at Alexis Foster. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. The game was Foster's third in a row with at least ten points. Jaclyn Callis was another key player, putting up two points and eight boards.

St. Margaret's has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Christchurch School, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Grace Christian School the next time they take the court. Christchurch School will host Grace Christian School at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, while St. Margaret's will head out to face them at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
