Football Recap: Mount St. Joseph's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Mount St. Joseph got themselves on the board against Dundalk on Friday, but Dundalk never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Owls with a sharp 21-0 win. That 21 point margin sets a new team best for the Gaels this season.

Mount St. Joseph was led to victory by Omari Wilder and Aiden Bell. Wilder gained 119 total yards and two touchdowns, while Bell threw for 125 yards and a pair of TDs. The dominant performance also gave Wilder a new career-high in rushing yards (90).

The victory keeps Mount St. Joseph at an undefeated 4-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.8 points on average this season. As for Dundalk, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount St. Joseph will challenge Concordia Prep at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. This will be the Gaels' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Dundalk, they will take on Overlea at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
