Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Putnam Vo-Tech). They were the clear victor by an 83-62 margin over the Commerce Red Raiders on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Beavers as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Putnam Vo-Tech's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7. As for Commerce, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Putnam Vo-Tech will host Northampton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Putnam Vo-Tech is facing Northampton at the right time seeing as Northampton is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Commerce, they will be playing at home against Chicopee Comp at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chicopee Comp knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Commerce likes a good challenge.
