Basketball Recap: Triton Central Tigers vs. Waldron Mohawks
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Triton Central). They took down the Waldron Mohawks 76-58 on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-47 back in December of 2024.

Eli Sego was his usual excellent self, going 8 of 16 en route to 27 points along with six assists and five rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Sam Collier, who made all 5 shots he took racking up 11 points.
They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Triton Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Waldron lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Lucas Shaw, who posted 18 points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Shaw a new career-high in blocks (two). Eli Stewart was another key player, going 6 for 9 on his way to 14 points.
Triton Central now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Waldron, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-6.
