Football Recap: Llano Falls Despite Big Games from Luke Davis and Jose Sillas

If Llano was riding high fresh off their 50-18 takedown of Marble Falls last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Yellowjackets fell 40-29 to the Jarrell Cougars on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Yellowjackets came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Cougars are ranked 571st).

Despite the loss, Llano had strong showings from Jose Sillas, who gained 79 total yards and two touchdowns, and Luke Davis, who rushed for seven yards and a pair of scores. Sillas is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Llano fell to 3-1. As for Jarrell, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Llano will head out to challenge Comfort at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets will need to watch out since the Bobcats/Deer have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Jarrell, they will host Smithville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Cougars' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
