Tahoma is 8-2 against Kentwood since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Tahoma Bears will head out to take on the Kentwood Conquerors at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tahoma has five straight wins, Kentwood has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

If Tahoma beats Kentwood with 60 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Tahoma walked away with a 60-47 victory over Auburn Riverside on Tuesday. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Ravens are ranked 99th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tahoma's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bailey Nettleton led the charge by going 5 for 10 en route to 13 points. Maryn King was another key player, going 5 of 8 on her way to 13 points.

Tahoma smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Kentwood didn't have quite enough to beat Auburn on Tuesday and fell 47-44.

Tahoma's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. As for Kentwood, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Tahoma strolled past Kentwood in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 61-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tahoma since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
