Recap: Poteau Pirates vs. Heavener Wolves
The Poteau Pirates suffered their closest loss since December 4, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of Heavener by a score of 60-57. Poteau has not had much luck with Heavener recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Isaac Cook was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 23 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Clubb, who scored ten points.
Poteau's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Heavener, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.
Poteau and Wister will face off at 3:30 p.m. on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
