Volleyball Recap: York Falls Short Against Ranked Glenbard West

York faced Glenbard West in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Dukes took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hilltoppers. The Dukes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hilltoppers earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

York's loss came despite strong showings from Ben Wede and Carson Cruver. Wede had 11 digs, while Cruver had 19 assists and five digs. Cruver is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 11 games he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for York and nudges their season record down to 18-6. As for Glenbard West, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-2.
