Softball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against Lejeune

Liberty Christian Academy kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Lejeune Devil Pups by a score of 9-7.

Hollyn Thigpen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Lily McMillain, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

The win made it two in a row for Lejeune and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, Liberty Christian Academy will look to defend their home field on March 6th against Lejeune at 4:00 p.m. As for Lejeune, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lakewood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
