Ryan hasn't had much luck against Colleyville Heritage recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Raiders will host the Panthers at 5:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, Ryan didn't have quite enough to beat Grapevine and fell 3-2.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Ryan sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 21-25, 25-19, 23-25, 16-14.

Despite their defeat, Ryan saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Abigail Vasquez, who had 32 digs and four assists, was perhaps the best of all. Vasquez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 17 games she's played. Atiya Everett was another key player, getting 21 assists and ten digs.
Meanwhile, Colleyville Heritage made easy work of Denton on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-15.
Ryan better focus on containing Maddie Yearian and Jaymes Pruitt as the pair were huge in Colleyville Heritage's win. Yearian had three digs and three aces, while Pruitt had 14 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Yearian has posted since back in September.
Ryan's loss dropped their record down to 17-20. As for Colleyville Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 22-13.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Ryan has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.1 aces per game. However, it's not like Colleyville Heritage struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.2 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
