Soccer Game Preview: Lone Star vs. Turner

The Lone Star Rangers will challenge the Turner Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Lone Star is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Reedy on Friday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Lions are ranked 65th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Turner, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let Creekview get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Friday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Lions were the better team in the second half.

Turner's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Lone Star, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
