Softball Game Preview: Fallston Cougars vs. C. Milton Wright Mustangs

Fallston has gone a perfect 4-0 against C. Milton Wright recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. Fallston will be playing in front of their home fans against C. Milton Wright at 3:30 p.m. Fallston is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Fallston proved they can win big on Friday (they won by eight) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Century, sneaking past 3-1. The three-run effort marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Mary Pfaff made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Pfaff was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, Abby Marmen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Fallston lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, C. Milton Wright suffered their biggest defeat since April 18, 2024 on Friday. They lost 12-4 to Fallston. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Fallston pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for C. Milton Wright, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Fallston's way against C. Milton Wright when the teams last played on Friday, as Fallston made off with a 12-4 victory. Does Fallston have another victory up their sleeve, or will C. Milton Wright turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
