Wethersfield and Plainville are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Wethersfield will be strutting in after a victory while Plainville will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Wethersfield made easy work of New Britain and carried off a 3-0 win. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Golden Hurricanes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-12, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Plainville came up short against Berlin on Friday and fell 3-1. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Redcoats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Plainville started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 25-18, 25-22, 25-19.

Plainville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Wethersfield, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Wethersfield suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Plainville in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
