Quitman had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Conway Christian Eagles 54-18. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-12.

Quitman was led to victory by Jordon Moore-Payne and Devon Boyce. Moore-Payne rushed for 90 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, while Boyce gained 221 total yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Boyce a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).

Conway Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Quitman will venture away from home to face off against Izard County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Conway Christian, they will welcome Atkins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
