Texas School for the Deaf came out on top against California School for the Deaf-Riverside on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run third inning. The Rangers won by a run and slipped past the Cubs 13-12. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rangers.

Madison Garrison was excellent, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Malinda Shayman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Texas School for the Deaf always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .526 or higher in six consecutive matchups.

Texas School for the Deaf's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for California School for the Deaf-Riverside, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-14 record.
