After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Poth, Jourdanton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Karnes City Badgers out 6-5. This was payback for Jourdanton, who suffered an 11-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Wyatt Avery was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Guerra, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

On Karnes City's side, Travis Currie put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over 5.2 innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Currie was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in the last three games he's played.

As for Karnes City, they will head out on the road to challenge Poteet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Karnes City is facing Poteet at the right time seeing as Poteet is stuck on a 21-game losing streak.
