Softball Recap: Grandview Comes Up Short

Grandview fell victim to Clearwater and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Fightin' Tigers, falling 20-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Grandview now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Clearwater, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Grandview will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Bourbon at 4:00 p.m. As for Clearwater, they will challenge Arcadia Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.4 runs per game on average), something the Fightin' Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
