Softball Recap: Ellsworth Panthers vs. Baldwin-Woodville Blackhawks        
        
		
            
 After losing to Baldwin-Woodville the last time they met, Ellsworth decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Ellsworth Panthers came out on top against the Baldwin-Woodville Blackhawks by a score of  5-2  on Thursday. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Ellsworth.
  Aliza Acker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits (and only one walk). Acker was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Delaney Johnson was  excellent,  going 2-for-2 with a  stolen base, a  double,  and  an  RBI.
 Ellsworth's win was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Baldwin-Woodville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3-1.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ellsworth beat Baldwin-Woodville by a score of  2-1 later that day.
