Softball Recap: Pine Lake Prep Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Pine Lake Prep lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Mountain Island Charter, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's game. The Pride blew past the Raptors 6-0 on Wednesday. Considering the Pride have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Emery Jensen made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Caitlin Green was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Kristen Armstrong was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

The win (which was Pine Lake Prep's sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Mountain Island Charter, the defeat snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 10-8 record.

As of now, neither Pine Lake Prep nor the Raptors have any future games scheduled.
