Soccer Recap: Sam Houston Comes Up Short

If Sam Houston was feeling good fresh off their 11-0 takedown of Kaplan last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sam Houston Broncos came up short against the Barbe Buccaneers on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Broncos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buccaneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Sam Houston's loss dropped their record down to 5-3-2. As for Barbe, they pushed their record up to 7-3-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sam Houston will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Erath at 5:30 p.m. on December 30th. As for Barbe, they will be home for the holidays to greet Bossier at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bossier will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Barbe surely won't give up without a fight.
