Basketball Recap: Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes Sets Scoring Season-High Against Parker-Tarrant Homeschool

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes). They walked away with a 78-67 win over the Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool Warriors on Thursday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Storm's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Warriors are ranked 112th).

Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool's loss came despite strong showings from Toby Pike and Timothy Jones. Pike dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds, while Jones went 6 of 12 on his way to 18 points. Pike's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Symes, who posted six points.

Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes' win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 16-4.

Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against First Baptist at 2:00 p.m. on December 31st. As for Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool, they will be taking part in a tournament against Nolan Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on December 27th.
