After a string of four wins, Liberty's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 48-38 to the Heritage Coyotes. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-51 back in December of 2024.

Heritage's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryson Howard, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was Howard's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cameron Lomax, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 16 points.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Heritage, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

Liberty and Heritage should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Liberty will face off against Independence at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday up 186 places (147 vs. 333). Liberty will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Meanwhile, Heritage (ranked 16th) will meet Frisco (ranked 724th) at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
